I cannot recommend Bittern Cottage highly enough. It is fresh and airy and tastefully decorated throughout and a joy to spend time even when the weather is bad. The kitchen is well equipped and offers a really enjoyable space to cook in, with direct access to the garden on sunny days. Unlike many rental properties I looked at, Bittern Cottage has a good sized television and comfortable sofas to lounge on in the evenings as well as good wifi - absolute essentials for my 12 year old. For my part, I really welcomed a decent bathtub to relax in as well as a shower, and the spacious sunny master bedroom. I spent many hours sitting on the window seat there, reading, working and gazing out to sea. The location of the house is perfect too, a stone’s throw from the beach and the shops but sufficiently tucked away to escape the crowds. We hope to come back and in the meantime will definitely recommend it to friends and family visiting Southwold

I have to say attention to detail is wonderful- you have thought of everything. The cottage is of a very high standard, with lovely art work and ornaments etc. We've had very mixed weather but Southwold and the area is always lovely. We've probably used the car more than normal. I hope to return!
