Burdock by the Sea is a beautiful holiday cottage positioned at the beginning of Southwold’s High Street. Luxury resides on all levels with boutique hotel-style interior design – a place we’re sure you’ll be boasting of on Instagram.
A large entrance hallway leads to the generously sized sitting room at the front of the cottage. This area is a fantastic space for lazing in front of the television after a busy day with family and friends exploring Southwold. A large corner sofa can also be used as a sofa bed for additional guests if required. The cosy woodburning stove is the perfect accessory to take the chill of a cooler season stay and wooden shutters give extra privacy when day turns to night. The sitting room is a lovely area to unwind with a glass of wine or curl up with a good book.
Burdock by the Sea has a good sized dining room for enjoying a home cooked dinner or two with your guests. Featuring wooden flooring and another woodburning stove it’s the perfect space to host a dinner party.
You’ll find a handy cloakroom and separate utility area before reaching the contemporary kitchen area. With plenty of worktop space and storage it’s tempting to cook every evening the comfort of this incredible holiday cottage. This pristine space leads onto a beautifully light dining area in front of glass doors which open onto the private courtyard area with green shrubbery and garden furniture for sitting outdoors when the weather is warm.
On the first floor you’ll find the spacious bedrooms with all the bathroom suites. All bedrooms have been thoughtfully appointed and offer flexibility for holiday groups. The master bedroom is located at the front of the cottage and has a zip and link super king size bed and roll top bath with hand-held shower for added luxury. An En-Suite shower room is also readily on hand.
The second bedroom is a lovely twin bedded room. This serene room also boasts an En-Suite shower room and steam room for the ultimate relaxation whilst on holiday.
Last but certainly not least is another twin bedded room located at the rear of the first floor, which can also be linked to create a super king size bed. This bedroom has access across the hallway to the family bathroom, but can be used as a private En-Suite if required.
We’re sure you’ll fall in love with Burdock by the Sea for its stylish accommodation alone, but its location also makes the cottage a fantastic choice for a Southwold holiday. Located at the beginning of the High Street, Burdock by the Sea gives those with a love of retail therapy exactly what they need, whilst a short walk takes you to the famous Common or in the opposite direction you’ll find the beach.

What we love about this property
Guests are lavished by the number of bathroom suites on offer, but we adore the roll top bath in the master bedroom. Soak up the bubbles and glance at the portholes above where you can see little fish swimming by!

There is no parking with the property however parking can be found on the Common less than a 5 minute walk away.
