4 The Stables is a wonderful holiday apartment just off the Market Place in Southwold. The building it’s part of was converted to residential dwellings in the early 2000s and has a firm place in the history of the town as former stables for Adnams’ dray horses. The dray horses were used to deliver ale from Adnams brewery to all the public houses in the town – a very important job!
Nowadays, 4 The Stables offers outstanding accommodation for couples seeking a relaxing break on the Suffolk Coast to enjoy the local food and drink together with the stunning landscape and wildlife. For a luxury afternoon tea simply stroll across the Market Place to The Swan, or for a romantic dinner for two, Sutherland House is just a few minutes along the High Street. You can enjoy walks on the beach, across the Common to Walberswick and an array of other public footpaths taking in the stunning views and wildlife.
