Southwold Lighthouse Tours

Take a tour of one of the most iconic features of Southwold itself. Your tour includes a knowledgeable tour guide providing insight into the fascinating history of this working lighthouse. The lighthouse tour lasts approximately 50 minutes, depending on how long it’ll take you to climb the 113 steps to the top! Ticket cost includes a voucher for a drink in the Sole Bay Inn which is located opposite the entrance to the lighthouse.

Southwold Easter Antiques Fair

Dates: 29, 30, 31 March 2024

Where: Saint Felix School, Reydon

The Lomax Antiques Fair is back in Southwold this Easter! Taking place over three days, the fair features a range of goods to purchase including furniture, English silver, fine porcelain, jewellery and much more.

Easter Egg Hunt at National Trust Dunwich Heath

Dates: 29, 30, 31 March & 1 April 2024

Where: Dunwich Heath Coastal Centre Car Park, Minsmere Road

Enjoy this lovely family Easter trail in Dunwich organised by the National Trust. The trail costs £3 per child and includes a trail sheet, bunny ears and a chocolate egg. Pre booking is not required so why not be spontaneous, turn up and enjoy the event!

Antique and Vintage Fair at The Old Hall in Reydon

Dates: 29 & 30 March 2024

Join the Old Hall this Easter weekend for an all-weather antique and vintage fair in the big barn! With over 40 stallholders each day, there’s sure to be something to tempt you this Easter. What’s more there’s an on-site café, play park for the younger ones with an appearance from the Easter Bunny (extra charge applies) plus you can make the most of the beautiful part of the county by walking along the estuary.

Snape Maltings Farmers Market

Dates: 30 March 2024

A special Easter themed farmers market taking place this Easter weekend in Snape showcasing the very best Suffolk food producers. It’s the perfect opportunity to source fresh local produce including cheese, gin, fruit, artisan bakes and of course, chocolate! Within the Snape Maltings complex you can also visit the River View Café and browse the shops on site.

The British Country Show

Dates: 31 March & 1 April

Where: Henham Park

The British Country Show returns this Easter for another jam-packed two-day event at Henham Park! Featuring a dog show, craft demonstrations, festival of cars, motorbike display, magic and puppet shows, and so much more. The show is sure to have something which appeals to every family member.

Childrens Paul Green Wild Wire Butterfly Workshop at Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve

Dates: 3 April 2024 (two sessions)

Wildlife inspired artist Paul Green will be at Carlton Marshes during the Easter holiday to help children learn a new skill – creating wire butterflies! This workshop is suitable for children 5 years and over. There will also be a walk around the reserve for butterfly inspiration! Tickets must be booked online prior to the event.

Stand Up in Southwold Comedy Evening at the Southwold Arts Centre

Dates: 5 April 2024

Head to the Southwold Arts Centre for a comedy night featuring headliner Seann Walsh as well as many other popular names in the comic world. Show starts at 7.00pm and tickets can be purchased online.

Spring Fused Glass Workshop at the Old Hospital, Southwold

Dates: 7th April 2024

A fantastic 2 hour workshop where you’ll be shown the basics of fused glass. You’ll get to create a small hanging followed by a creation of your choice. There’s the option of booking a morning or afternoon workshop, contact Becky to book.

Steamworks Open Day – Southwold Railway Trust

Dates: 7 April 2024

Visit Southwold’s railway this Easter and learn all about the history of the railway which once linked Southwold with Halesworth. The open days are very informative and are a great way to spend time with family.

Wild Writing: A Nature-Journaling Workshop at Carlton Marshes Nature Reserve

Dates: 14 April 2024

Join writer and naturalist Helen Bynum for a day of journaling about the natural world, taking inspiration from your surroundings at Carlton Marshes. This day workshop gives you the opportunity to put pen to paper and gain confidence when writing about all things natural. The workshop includes a walk along the reserve. You’ll need to bring your own materials for writing on/with however electronics are also welcome.
