You’ll feel at home as soon as you walk through the door at Marshfields. Situated on a quiet street just a short walk from the heart of the town and an even shorter walk to Southwold Pier and the beach, this inviting holiday home offers space and comfort galore.

The sitting room is the heart of the home and has glorious views across the marshes as well as an open fire, perfect for cooler autumn or winter evenings. There’s a smart TV and DVD player for family entertainment too. The dining room has plenty of room for relaxed evening meals or board games and the conservatory is a blissful spot to lose yourself in a good book or unwind over a glass of something. Though you may not want to cook during your stay, preferring to enjoy all the eateries that Southwold and the surrounding area has to offer, the kitchen is well-equipped with all you need during your self-catering stay.

Upstairs are three bedrooms, plus the family bathroom. The master suite is ideal for a couple or family with a young child and has over the back garden. In the main part of the suite there's a zip and link bed which can be made as two singles or a kingsize bed and there's an 'annexe' where there is a single bed. Bedroom two is a twin room, and bedroom 3 is a single room. Each has ample drawer storage and hanging space on the doors. The family bathroom is a large and practical space. The bath has a handheld shower attachment and there’s a baby changing unit. (There’s a shower room with WC on the ground floor too.)

The garden at Marshfields is a real delight. With pretty borders, lawn and patio with dining table and chairs this south-facing garden is a real sun trap. It's fully enclosed too, so ideal for keeping your four-legged friends safe.

  • Lovely weekend as two couples for a wintry vacation. We come here often and enjoy it every time. Would recommend the Anchor in Walberswick for a hearty lunch, maybe after some crabbing. Until next time...x
