Redisham Hall is an impressive Grade II Listed Hall built in 1823 set in a 400 acre parkland estate just a short drive from the riverside town of Beccles, Suffolk. Garden Wing is located within the Hall and has it's own private entrance. (Please note access is via a spiral staircase so may not be suitable for those with mobility issues.)
This traditionally furnished and well-appointed holiday apartment is situated on the first floor of the hall and offers truly spectacular views of the garden and grounds from its large sash windows. The ground floor lobby with adjoining WC has a spiral staircase leading to the first floor flat where you'll find the rooms to be bright and spacious with a truly homely feel.
The well-proportioned lounge has a large inviting sofa and ample seating for four guests. The large sash window offers stunning vistas to the rear of the Hall. There's also a TV and DVD player. Adjoining the lounge is a storage room, where you'll find the freezer, high chair and other bits and pieces. This is an ideal place to keep the suitcases during your stay too.
The kitchen is well-equipped with all the appliances and gadgets you could need during a holiday or short break and there's a farmhouse style table and chairs in kitchen too.
The bathroom offers a touch of luxury with a walk in shower, large bath and marble topped sink unit. Both bedrooms offer decent space and light and have views to the front of the Hall. There's one double and one twin bedroom here.
Redisham Hall also has a Walled Kitchen Garden which is open to visitors May to September. Within the garden is a plant nursery where you can buy produce grown on the estate amongst a fine selection of plants, pots and garden sundries. There is also a tea room. Of course guests at Garden Wing can also enjoy the grounds of the Hall, whether you chose to stroll, jog or cycle. Fishing in the estate lake is permitted on request.
Garden Wing is ideally located for exploring the Waveney Valley and the Norfolk/Suffolk border. The market towns of Beccles and Bungay are a short drive away and Suffolk's popular seaside town of Southwold is a 20-minute drive away.
What we love about this property
We love the feeling of complete escapism that this holiday apartment offers. Immerse yourself in the views of the estate you could easily find yourself in your very own Jane Austen novel!
